It’s been an exciting start to 2007 for Helen, with a West End theatre role and some good TV work in the pipeline. She has just started rehearsing for the part of Marjorie Houseman in the stage version of Dirty Dancing at the Aldwych Theatre, which she will play from February 20th until late-September, taking over from Issy van Randwyck. Marjorie, who is the mother of the heroine, apparently has a lot more to do in the stage version than in the film, and Helen is up for the challenge (which includes being aged-up substantially, of course!) More information, reviews and tickets are available through the official website for the production, and all the leading West End theatre guides on the web.
Helen will also be filming an episode for the new series of BBC drama Love Soup, with The Green Wing’s Tamsin Grieg, in March.
